News, Announcements & Events!
November 2009

Welcome

Welcome to our new newsletter from Silver Lotus Training Institute!  We plan to send these out to you about once a month, bringing you useful information about our wellness practices, news about the Institute and our community of students and teachers, as well as announcements of upcoming events and trainings.  We hope you find the newsletter useful and interesting. Please forward the newsletter to friends and colleagues who might enjoy it.

And please send us your own ideas, news and photos for future issues of the newsletter - we'd love to include them!  You can email the information to news@silverlotustraininginstitute.com.

If you haven't already done so, check out the new Silver Lotus website that was launched in September.  The address is www.SilverLotusTrainingInstitute.com.  We're still working on new features for it, including a directory of yoga and tai chi teachers trained at the Institute.

I want to personally thank all of you for your continued support of Silver Lotus, whether it be through teaching, taking classes, emailing, volunteering or referring a friend to a class. Our world needs all of our support to continue to bring positive change to our local and global communities.

Om shanti,

New Graduates of the Tai Chi/Qigong Leadership Training Program

In October eight talented, enthusiastic women completed our very first Tai Chi and Qigong Leadership program.  This training program is for anyone who has a passion for playing Tai Chi and Qigong and who wants to share that passion with the broader community.

Congratulations to Martrise Jones, Joyce Houston, Tina Levenia, Sonia Blake, Marcia Stewart, Jan Brunory, Anne Ramsaur and Carolyn Dozier!  They spent the weekend exploring  teaching methodology,  simple Tai Chi and Qigong forms, breathing techniques, Tai Chi and Qigong with a chair, and teaching safety.  They will now carry the fun and benefits of these practices to their own friends and communities.

We plan to offer additional trainings soon.  Contact us if you have an interest in this program.

Silver Lotus was one of the very first teacher training schools in the United States to be recognized by the Yoga Alliance.  This program is highly individualized, and it is flexible to meet the unique needs and interests of individual students.   Most students find it to be a profound, life-changing experience.

Go to our website for more information about the program and how to register.
