Silver Lotus Training Institute and the Lewes Senior Center invite you to join in this global health and healing celebration. World Tai Chi & Qigong Day is an international event that begins in New Zealand andspreads, time zone by time zone, across the globe. This creates a “Healing Wave” to promote calm and worldwide wellness.
We will gather at 10 a.m. to practice and demonstrate a variety of different Tai Chi and Qigong forms. Participate with us, or just come to watch and learn about these powerful health practices.
What is World Tai Chi & Qigong Day?
World Tai Chi & Qigong Day (WTCQD) educates millions of people worldwide about the medical, health and mental health benefits of practicing Tai Chi and Qigong, how to find local classes and how to get the most out of those classes. WTCQD occurs because thousands of people who share the hope and healing through these practices come together each year to practice together in the spirit of healing over the whole planet.
WTCQD holds events in 65 nations. It is officially recognized by the World Health Organization, The United Nations, international leaders, governors, state senators and legislators from 50 United States, and mayors from all over our country.
The event begins in the earliest time zones of New Zealand at 10:00 am and continues throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, North American and South America – ending with the final events in Hawaii almost a day later. The goals of WTCQD are to educate the world about the growing medical research promoting these practices, to educate about the increasing use of these practices in business, education, penal and drug rehabilitation venues and to provide a global vision of cooperation for health and healing purposes.
