Course Description

This teacher training program meets the standards of the National Yoga Alliance and is registered as a 200-hour level. The course includes studies in techniques, teaching method, anatomy, physiology, Yoga history, philosophy, ethics and lifestyle. It also includes study in chanting, meditation, mudras, bandhas, and yantra. Students are given an opportunity to do practice teaching at Silver Lotus Training Institute or in a facility of their choice. Students work with Mentors to support and guide them through the process of YTT. All are welcome. We embrace diversity in culture, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

The program welcomes individuality and deep acceptance of the Self.

This program is highly individualized, and it is flexible to meet the unique needs and interests of individual students. So that we can give each student individual attention, the program classes are small: usually no more than 10 students are accepted and enrolled in any Silver Lotus training program.

Style of Yoga

Teacher Training at Silver Lotus features training in the Svadhyaya system of hatha-Yoga. Svadhyaya Yoga™ is a system of Yoga developed by the Silver Lotus Institute Director, Susan Hamadock.

Location

The training is given at the new Silver Lotus Training Institute and Center for Healing Arts, located at Quakertown Integrative Healthcare Center, 1307 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958. You will be close to hotels, motels, and B&Bs; minutes from downtown historic Lewes, a delightful town, originally settled by the Dutch, and departure port of the Cape May (NJ)-Lewes Ferry. You are also only a few short miles away from Rehoboth Beach, "the nation's summer capital," and home to friendly people, charming shops, and a range of restaurants to meet the needs of all tastes and pocketbooks. You will be right at the center of Delaware's sales-tax-free shopping district. And you will have a vast array of holistic services available right next door at Quakertown Wellness.
