Janet DeFeo’s lifelong interest in health, wellness, and movement began during her career in the medical field, where she worked as a radiology and ultrasound technician. As a military spouse, she had the opportunity to live and travel throughout the United States and abroad, experiences that helped shape her appreciation for people, community, and the many different paths we take through life.

Marty Zombro’s interest in Tai Chi was first sparked while traveling abroad. That initial curiosity grew into a desire to explore the ancient martial art more deeply, and over the years he has dedicated considerable time to its study and practice.
For Marty, one of the most compelling aspects of Tai Chi is its fluid, meditative quality. He finds that the movement, focus, and sense of balance cultivated through Tai Chi reach beyond the practice itself and into other areas of his life.
That connection is especially meaningful to Marty as a professional musician. He has found that Tai Chi complements his creative life, bringing another dimension of awareness, flow, and expression to his music.
In his classes, Marty seeks to share more than the physical movements of Tai Chi. He encourages students to explore the quieter qualities within the practice—the sense of peace, balance, and harmony that he has experienced through his own journey.
For Marty, Tai Chi and music share something essential: both invite us to listen, find our rhythm, and become fully present in the moment.
